DropDown Menu with Alpha Channel

Hey all I need little help I am interested in making a "DropDown Menu" on my site but I want it to be see trough so I will need alpha channel or what ever is it that I need. If this is possible with Dreamwaver please let me know how. Point me to best tutorial for this kind of thing.

Design the hole thingy in Photoshop with layer opacity options / masks etc... in different layers, export it to Imageready to make it .htm and then afterwrds, without coding open the page in Dreamweaver to make the appropiate links etc...

This is how i do it, but off course i am allergic to coding and efficient fast loading webpages... :lol:
Actually, i just don't know how to code :)
