Can anybody tell me how to replicate this bluish effect?!

While browsing the internet I went into this Rappers website and found this awesome picture and I would like to know how to replicate the blue overlay color. I tried using color balance, hue saturation but it came out really fake. Heres the link to the pic. Thanks....

I read it as blurish first and where somewhat confused. :biggrin:

Anyhow what they do is that they appliy all thease different adjustments to their already nicly staged, lit up quality camera shoot and then they mask out the parts of the image that they want to exaggerate and treat thease individualy, in the example picture this is the case of the two rappers what stand out with their very white clothes even though the lightning everywhere else is blue. IRL thats not a possibility sience for anything to be white = all colours mixed bounce of it there needs to be white light. Anyhow i wrote a tutorial on how this is made awhile ago. Its basicly the same thing going on, you just need to make a blued version of the image and mask out what you want to have exaggerated.

Thanks alot. Really cool how you put the guy in the shelf. Is that you?! Also, I downloaded the psd file and I'm gonna try it with one of my pics. I think I got it now!!! It's gonna take a while but I'll get it. Thank you thank you thank you!

Your welcome, the headpick in the tutorial isnt my picture though. Its made by Sq3r here on the p2l forums. :)
