Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Major Discussion Thread (Let's Talk Matthew.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

As most of you know, Mrs. J.K Rowling revealed the name of the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Since then a major Harry Potter frenzy has hit the world. What could this title mean. Well in this thread anyone who wants to can discuss the the seventh and final Harry Potter book.

Do not post retarded comments like: 'Harry Potter is Gay.' , 'Harry Potter is for little kids (it's acutally written for teens/adults :() and dont post things without making the text white as some people might not want to read the spoilers (even though someone wouldn't enter this topic if they didn't want spoilers.)

Enjoy!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Let's start with the title. The word Hallow means the following according to the dictionary:

Quote

1. To make holy; sanctify; consecrate.
2. To honor as holy; consider sacred; venerate: to hallow a battlefield.
Horcruxes are considered holy in Voldemort's eyes and well his horcruxes are deathly.

Now we all know that when Harry opened the Locket there was a note from the mysterious R.A.B. People have been guessing and everyone seems to believe the initials stand for Regulus A. Black.

Now i have been reading every single of Mrs. J.K Rowling's interviews and she says the Veil from the Department of Mysteries is very important and that the Two-Way Mirror will return. Apparently the word Hallow in mythology is a time when the dead can return back to earth if they have been good enough. So James and Lilly Potter could come back but so could Serious. Serious coming back would make sence as the Two-Way Mirror only works with people who are alive or ghosts. Mrs. J.K Rowling has also said that we will find out why some people come back as ghosts and when they do.

For some reason Mrs. J.K Rowling has said Harry's Eyes and Kreature are extremely important to the story which makes me wonder. Some people have said that the spell Lilly done sent part of her soul into Harry. But so far the only way of doing that is by killing someone. We will also find out who was under the invisibility cloak when Harry's Parents died. We will also find out why Dumbledore had James' invisibility cloak.

For some reason loads of people are saying that the final show-down between Harry and Voldemort will be in Godric's Hollow where harry's parents lived, died and where burried. It's rumoured that Godric Gryffindor lived there which means Harry and his family probably have extreme courage above anyone else.

We will also find out where Snape's loyalty lies and what is going to happen to Draco Malfoy. Another rumour seems to be that Draco Malfoy will duel Ron Weasley. This could result in one of the main characters dying. But we know that either Harry or Voldemort will die.

Below are a list of things that will happen in book seven:

Quote

* Harry will face Voldemort for the final time
* Harry will be attempting to find and destroy Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes
* Harry will return to the Dursleys' during the school vacation, but the magical protection Dumbledore arranged will expire on his 17th birthday when he comes of age
* Harry will visit Godric's Hollow
* There will be a reappearance of the two-way mirror
* We will see the wedding of Fleur and Bill Weasley
* The fact that Harry "has his mother's eyes" will prove to be an important plot point
* At least one character will die
* We will find out something "incredibly important" about Lily Potter
* We will find out who R.A.B. is
* We will discover more about Dumbledore's past
* We will discover where Snape's loyalties lie.
* Something will be revealed about Petunia Dursley, although it will not be that she is a Squib
* Viktor Krum will return (World Book Day, 2004 interview)
* We will see a reappearance of Dolores Umbridge - "It's too much fun to torture her not to have another little bit more before I finish." (MuggleNet/Leaky Interview)
* JKR has said, "There is a character who does manage, in desperate circumstances, to do magic quite late in life, but that is very rare..."
* The last word is expected to be "scar," but may change
* We will finally learn the full reason why some people become ghosts when they die and others don't
* The final chapter, which has already been written, will detail what happens to the characters that survive
* There will be no more Quidditch matches

Thanks Mugglenet.

Another interesting thing i'd like to know is who or what mistreated Dudsley. When he gets attacked by the demontors in book five this memory is repeated in his mind. Also who helped get the locket with R.A.B. Dumbledore cleary stated TWO people needed to go to get past Voldemort's enchantments. Another interesting thing is Hagrid trains Thestrals and to be able to see them you have to have witnessed death. Who did Hagrid see murdered? James and Lily perhaps? Another interesting fact is only Wormtail knows where Harry's parents where hiding. But Hagrid retrieved baby Harry from his home. Does this mean that Hagrid did witness his first death, the death of James and Lily Potter which allowed him to train Thestrils.

Another sad thing i'd like to say is that Mrs. J.K Rowling has confirmed Dumbledore is officialy dead. But could return. Aaargh, i want to know what's behind the veil!

Well, that's all i want to submit. Let's try and make a structure where we can work upon so we can figure out loads about book seven.

Movie 7 :o. Hmmm, you do know that's in 2009 right?

To EAXT:
Mrs. J.K Rowling has confirmed Dumbledore is 100% dead. If he was afraid of death (which i doubt) he will probably come back as a ghost or he could comeback if that veil in the department of mysteries proves useful.

Yup. Another thing i forgot to add was that a rumour about Mrs. Megonugal no longer being Gryffindor's head of house. Apparently Rubeus Hagrid will be taking her spot (hooray) abd Professor. Slughorn will be taking Snape's place. But this doesn't really matter as Harry isn't going back to school :o

You're all expecting a long post out of me now aren't you :o

I actually haven't thought much about the 7th book, and aside form what i said in the last Harry Potter topic i don't really have much more to say than that.

I feel like such a let down ;) But I'm just looking forward to reading it really.
