If you're talking about a little dotted border, that's there because it's dreamweaver. You should save the page and preview it in a browser to see what it actually looks like (NEVER trust WYSIWYG editors).

nope, not that one either, ill put up a shot of it, but when i look at it in the dw screen you can see it there too, in PS i cropped it properly, and the colors match, but you see a line all of the way around the borde of the image.

Lisa

its actually hard to see on the shot i have attatched but if you look between the first two images down between them you can see it. but it is alot more noticable on the real thing

I'm not an expert on dreamweaver 8, but, try changing the border colour to the same as the background and maybe it'll blend?

Did you define border=0 for the table that the images are in?

I don't know about your layout, but, when I used to play about on it there was a menu at the bottom where you type in 0 for the border right?

If so there should be like a square icon with a diagonal red line going through or something, I don't know if I have dreamweaver 8 installed anymore, but when I'm home I'll check for you.

It should be at the bottom toolbar though, click the border or table first ;)

Hope it helps

- Owey :D

also something i'd recommend to be sure it's a coding problem and not a design one.

Open your gif files up in photoshop, zoom in to 1600% and look at the very edges of the gif file...are the borders white or black? It's sometimes hard to tell at 100% if the border is actually a different color as it is right on the edge of the canvas so just give it a shot...you never know.

Otherwise, if they are black, then follow the suggestions above and/or post your html code.

i have the properties at the bottom and have 0 in for the border. i croped the image into the black but i will zoom in to 1600 and recheck and if it still is like that ill post the code.

The problem was in photoshop, it did have a light border around it. i had preveously croped it to avoid that but it happened anyway.

thanks everyone for your help
