Hey everyone, I was just wondering.
Is it okay to use content from other websites, let say an article about something.
Is this okay to post on your website, provided you identify the original source and link back to the website?
If is varies different at different websites, usally where can you find information on a site if they allow such a things, thanks.

email the webmaster if you cannot find any statements that allow you take their content, even with articles it's common courtesy to let them know.

If you plan on merely stealing people's articles and playing them off as your own, regardless of whether or not you link to them or not, I say no. If you ask and they let you use it, fine. But if I ever saw my hard work giving hits to other people without my discretion, I'd be pretty pissed off. Even if you provide a link back to the original site, it looks as though the publisher of the content agreed to let you use it. Not cool, in my opinion.
If, however, you are writing an article of your own and want to link to or quote a bit of a different article, I wouldn't foresee that to be a problem.
