I'm not sure if this question has been answered somewhere on the forums, but when i tried searching for it i never found the answer to my question..

I was wondering how i use my layout i made in ps and use it on my website. I was told that i needed to make a seperate image for each button on my layout, but i'm not really sure what he mean't by that. So i'm wondering if anyone can answer my question.

if the buttons are rollover buttons then u will have to make 1 image as it will look when u go onto the page and 1 image for when u hover ur mouse over the button

Yeah you have to "slice" the images in ImageReady and then reasemble them using tables in Dreamweaver or your program of choice
