In all fairness.. There is nothing there that I can say s the slightest artistic..

And a macro lense would change that either..
Macro lenses are merely used for extreme close ups.. for instance:

Although I haven't trimmed it or anything, you can see what I have done with the macro lens.

I have basically spotted a wet spider wed, got as close as i can with macro and took a few shots, choosing the best result, which was this one..

A macro lense on a glass of coke would probably just give you a lot of light back..

Unless.. You wanted to be artistic, get a glass of water, pour water over the glass so you have trickles of water drops on the glass, place it somewhere with a nice white background, then use the macro lense to do a close up of the glass.. then you will pick up the water drops and possibly have a nice photo effect.

I hope this makes sense, and maybe you should read up on cameras.

I find Matt's site is probably the best for beginners such as myself : http://www.lostphotograph.co.uk/

Regards,

Tom
