what are the little bar thingys on the desktops in linux. like i saw abunch of screen shots of linux people and i want to now what all the little bar thingys are they are like docks but not docks ahh im confused well are there any like that for windows if you no will you tell me thanx

They're little "widgets" I believe, and many of the programs from Stardock have them as well. They're gaming consoles, or stats, or any other thing you want to stick on your desktop...
