Well, this sounds a little easy, but for some reason I have difficulty putting text on top of my template that I create in Photoshop CS2. When I create a template in PS, I export if for the web through the app and it creates the HTML file and Images in a subfolder for me. However, whenever I create text by simply creating a layer, it is always out of place in the browsers. I have tried using the tutorials by using tables, but dreamweaver spaces out my images too far apart and it doesn't match up in the end.

Please help?

-Tom

Here is how it looks in dreamweaver. I created a layer over my layout, and I have inserted tables within that layer. Please explain why this happens and how I can fix it.

I haven't been doing much on codeing templates for a while... but I'm pretty sure the problem is with your cells in your tables the cell padding would most likely need to be set to 0 for the gaps to be removed... hope that helps.

hmmm, no cellpadding and cellspacing is set to 0. The gaps are only filled when I merge the cells, but then the layout of the images gets messed up. Anyone else?

The simple solution would be to not use photoshop or dreamweaver. Do a forum search and you'll find out why.

Try just moving the layer 5-10px to the right and seeing what happens. Other then that, my best suggestion would be to NEVER save a template for web from photoshop, and NEVER use a WYSIWYG editor to code the template for you. Learn to code by hand.
