As you may or may not of known by now but the iPhone is infact true and isnt a photoshopped myth someone made on LoopRumours :)

The Apple iPhone *Image below* is a wide screen iPod with Music, Audio Books, Videos, TV Shows & Movies. The 3.5" Screen iPhone is capible of most things an ordinary Mobile/Cell phone is.. But with special features.

Heres is a shortlist and description:

Merge Calls:- When in a call, if you recieve a call, you can hold the current call and answer the next one. In addition, you can quite easily merge the calls. This little feature means you can have a conference on your phone. Basically like Skype so you can all talk to each other. Pretty nifty when you need to talk to a select few.

Photos & Camera:- The iPhone has a 2 MegaPixel camera and photo management that goes far beyond any camera phone today! Sync your photos from your PC or Mac and you are ready to browse or email them in 1 touch.

Internet Browser:- iPhone features a rich HTML email client and Safari — the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device — which automatically syncs bookmarks from your PC or Mac. Safari also includes built-in Google and Yahoo! search. iPhone is fully multi-tasking, so you can read a web page while downloading your email in the background over Wi-Fi or EDGE.

Technology Information:- The iPhone comes with OS X Which includes 4GB or 8GB of space!

Specs:- Technical Specifications

Screen size: 3.5 inches
Screen resolution: 320 x 480 at 160 ppi
Input method: Multi-touch
Operating system: OS X
Storage : 4GB or 8GB
GSM: Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)

just to say that apple are apparently being sued about their iPhone.

5-6 years ago a company registered and copyrighted the name "iPhone" and the phone itself and apple have been trying to buy them out for years now, but apple have gone ahead and used the name so they're being sued over it.

thats what I've heard anyway

The interface sorta reminds me of Window Vista's as it's all nice, black and elegant. I gotta get one for my b-day!

looks a little big for a phone
I like small stuff
apple did some mistakes on the design of this product
too many rounded corners for my tastes

That company was Cisco Systems I believe. I bet they will sue them for a reasonable amount and end up giving apple the name. I would love it if I could afford the iPhone, but I can't :-(

why not just use the phones w/ itunes that are already out and not have to dish out everything in your bank acc for it

Where do you think Windows gets it's design ideas? :D

Most stuff you see on any version of Windows was already done on Mac 1-2 years before.

This phone is mainly for business and/or commuters who use public transport frequently or are away on business a lot imo because of the little but amzingly helpful feature to merge calls is great.

Even though it is an iPod aswell, it's still mainly for the older audience and the more mature teens imo.

But all in all its a great phone

...sigh

Of course it's just another product. A company isn't exist to sit around and provide one product that never changes. Everything any corporation does is for money and Apple wants a share of the PDA/Phone market (in this case its (PDA/Phone/MP3 Player).

Personally I am anxious to see if the OS is better than Windows mobile Pocket PC OS.

The iPhone doesn't look very good, I don't think it will be as big of hit as the iPod.

Ben.

I think it will be too expensive for what it is. There are alternatives that don't look that good are a little more expensive but heaps more functional.

When introduced they said it was going to cost about 400 US dollars
