heyhey

first off i dont really have much knowledge of flash. it was suggested to me that the feature i was looking for could be written in flash.

i am looking to implement a script (which i thought was javascript/css) which enables me to enlarge a picture in the browser while the background darkens(but is translucent). in other words when a user clicks on an image to enlarge a kinda of new layer appears which is dark and translucent and the enlarged image in the middle.

i am looking for a ready made script rather then a tutorial if it is in flash as i dont really have much knowledge of flash as i said earlier(i do have some but ... yeah.. not really )

i'd appreciate any help

€: oh yeah i forgot that this feature can be seen in the video section of digg.com, when u click on the video thumbnail. i want the same thing just with pictures rather then videos.

I believe what your looking for isnt flash, it's a javascript called Lightbox or Greybox.

Here's the links: Lightbox and Greybox.

P.S. This topic was allready opened.

Then Greybox is the way to go :D It already has the code stuck into it for web pages. Click on the Greybox link in the 2nd post and have a look at some of the examples... mighty well done, if you ask me :)

Let us know how it goes :P

I havent used greybox, but I have used similar scripts, and they have all come with a stylesheet. It should be in there somewhere. A good idea to find it is search for the colour hex code you want to replace, just change one at a time so you know youve changed the right thing, and not screwed up the rest of the colours.
