Hi,
I'd really like to see a tutorial on how you would incorporate text that appears to have been stitched into the page.
The only example I can find does this in Illustrator, by choosing the "Dashed Line" option in stroke Palette - the following article explains this method: Drawing a Deer in Illustrator Tutorial
Specifically I would like to see how a business logo for a fictional fabric/clothing retailer might appear using this stitched text look.
Many Thanks to anybody who takes up the challenge. I'll keep my eye out for it in the feeds but would also appreciate it if you could Contact me here with the results if you do.
Best Wishes,
Paulie

I can find one i thik.
InIllustrator i got a manual somewhere of making a text look like "stitched".
I'll look it up.
Prop tomorrow afternoon ill have it uploaded.
It's nota Scythat original though, it originates from one of my books; should be short.

Just for the record: Is this the effect you are aiming for (or at least a beginning where you can start tweaking) ?
I needed 2 programs: Photoshop and Illustrator (didnt find the old tutorial, had to try from scratch)

Hi Scythar,
Many Thanks for your efforts, it looks pretty good.
I really like the left and bottom borders on your example - they also make it look like a clothing label which is also something that I wanted to know how to do. Can you tell me how you do that border?
Also, is there any way to get all the text to appear as if it is a thread weaving in and out through the page, like the dashes, but with a much more natural 'stitched' look and feel as if the font itself looked as if it were a thread?
Best Wishes,
Paul
