Dedicated Server coming and Major V2 Update!

Hi all,

This is a short but very important update! I have just given the OK to Tysoft from ServerSeed to purchase P2L's first dedicated server in preparation for the release of tutorialseek.com and pixel2life.com Version 2! The site will be changing over to the dedicated server THIS WEEKEND! So please excuse any downtime and/or errors during the change. Our shared environment can no longer sustain us so we're taking a VERY expensive plunge to a high end dedicated rig that should last us for some time.

Now then, Tutorialseek.com v.2 is VERY close to being done and will be released in a couple of weeks if all goes well. P2L will follow shortly after that. We hope that many of you will help check out the site, look for bugs and play with all the new toys. We'll be looking for your feedback while we complete Pixel2life.com V2!! REMEMBER! P2L V2 will be based on the layout for Tutorialseek.com V2!

And last, a rather delicate topic... this new server is going to cost me a fortune... several hundred dollars a month actually. We're hoping that our ad based revenue helps to cover this, but should you wish to make any kind of donation that will be used STRICTLY for paying the server fees, you may do so at http://www.paypal.com with our paypal email address, which is info (at) pixel2life.com. Please be sure to note in the payment comment field "Donation for P2L Server Fees".

So things are coming to a head! Hold onto your hats :angry:

The server is one of the new Dell PowerEdge 1800s with the new 64-bit EMT64 Xeon processors.

You will definitely NOT have to re-register and unless Jay wishes to correct me, I'm fairly sure you won't even need to log back in :D It should be pretty seamless.

By the way folks, we're on the dedicated server now ;)

:D Sweet. If we are on the new server it doesnt look like we will have to log in again. I didnt have to do anything ;) . Im sure this will make a big difference.

although i'm re-writing the code for alot of it, no-one will have to re-register, it may even be a re-login at most
