Im trying to make a forum where people submit and it writes it to a textfile and or creates a text file if it doesn't exist, but Im trying to make it check to their username and password as a required field in the forum with vBulletin, does anyone know how to do this check?

truthfully i would consider mySQl or someother database as txt files would have to be chmod 777 and that can be dangerous. but i will look though my old old code back before i knew about databases because i used something like that for a threaded comment system.

plus if you dont want to write your own, here is a text file one http://www.phpjunkya...ssage-board.php
