I designed this logo last night for Dennis Rogers, using Adobe Illustrator.

Unfortunately, while I was gone today, he had it redesigned like so:

So, what do you think about the first one?

The first one is much better in my opinion.

Thank you. I wasn't too big on the whole "eagle wing" idea, but I put a good amount of effort into it for it to be thrown away. He was talked out of it by a friend, who said he needed a more corporate logo.

The second one says nothing about him at all, and is just one of those... cheesy... logo ideas that has been overused. But the first makes him look too much like a biker, and he is not one. I don't know.

Which one looks more fitting for someone who is really strong?

I think, in the second one, it's the choice of colours that they used that makes it look bad...

Yeah, I agree completely.

His argument on the color choice was that people buy stuff when they see blue, and gold equals power. I do not agree with this at all. But, you know, if the customer doesn't agree with you, you must give them what they want.

I like the first one most also but its a logo so I would say maybe make it a little more simple becaus if you put it like really small on a page header or something for buisness it will ruin the look becaus it wouldnt look as good small with the fine details.... thats my opinion though so i donno

IMO the first would be a more appeling logo and catch people attentio n all.

The first logo fits his website well.. the second is a half circle with dR in the middle..

I say he should have stuck with the first one all the way, honestly the second looks unprofessional and an unprofessional logo is a big turn-off when visiting a website..

EDIT: I just viewed the second full size, and I hope it's not like that on the site, it's extremely choppy, blurred, and ugly.. no offense to the creator.

Yes. That is because I created the first in illustrator, and the person that changed it did the task to a compressed iname in photoshop, and they are novice at photoshop.

very much depends,
the first one is the best, for shure,
but you gotta make logo's to fit what the guy is working with,
and if he were working with, tatoo's for eksampel, it would have been great,
but if the other fit's his buisnesse better then of course he chose that
