1) how i can make it so it searches to see if a file of the same file name exsist and if so lets the user re-name the file before uplaoding it.
2) set a file size limit?

hey i have a image uploader and it works fine. was woundering:
1) how i can make it so it searches to see if a file of the same file name exsist and if so lets the user re-name the file before uplaoding it.

You can set the limit in your php.ini file.
Just place an php.ini file where the script executes with the line:
