setting up a CMS on wamp

dont understand what to do

im setting up a cms and its got the config up but its asking for all this stuff about SQL and I honestly dont understand how to set it up. on a webserver its easy local host works but with this it says

UNABLE TO CONNECT TO YOUR SERVERS DATA Base thing

any help and i will luv you :rolleyes:

Well what is the exact problem?

Put the information about your database into the config. You should have got the information from the people Hosting your website.

For the database server its usually localhost or you may have to use localhost:3306 . The username and password will be the Username and Password for accessing the database (might not be the same as the username and pass to access your server)

Be sure to start all services, them follow the instructions, usually just paste the scripts in a new folder inside the "www" folder.

Then just edit the config files or other things.

In username use "root", password should be in black, and host is "localhost".

That's when your local server. But I think he's on about a web server now.

My advice would be to contact your hosting provider.

I was learning how to make a CMS also but i gave it up coz i dun know how to script PHP and dun understand how it works. I choose wordpress though, very easy to use and it is nice looking

Just a suggestion if the CMS thing get nasty XD
