I just started using Ill CS2. I'm have copied a pic into the file I'm working on and I need to know how to trace the image in the pic and then remove the background behind the image in the pic so only the image shows and I can use whatever background I want. Can anyone help?

Just use the Pen Tool to make paths right over your image. When you're done, select the image and hit "delete." There's no secret here.
