Different browsers displaying different colours?

Well its a minor problem but still would be nice if I could sort it.

The template can be located here. Basically if you view it in IE the shade of grey on the banner is different to that on the container. However if you view it in Firefox, the colours all match. I was wondering is there any way of correcting this?

This is why web safe colors exist. Use them.

Actually not. They were made because there was a time where not everyone had monitors with more than 256 colors. Nowadays just about anything younger than 10 years or so do, so its not a problem really.

Your colors show different in IE because it is retarded with PNG files. Try to use consistent file types, such as use all GIF and JPG, or just all PNG, especially if you are using transparency.
