I'd say it's a 50/50 
For one, the text looks sharp or something not enough good pixels. Second, little bit of emptiness around the image. Third, awesome render

a little too plain for me. imo, the character of choice isnt a good one, for he sets off the focal point, and the only thing that is concentrated on is that unreadable font.
work on some color selection and depth, along with text and BG blending.
