Why is it when I use the Polygonal Lasso Tool I lose the picture I'm working on. The whole window that I have open turns to grey or white after I complete a few points. I had my memory set to 75% and at 100%, with the same results. As soon as I hit the esc key it closes the tool and my picture comes back. It's getting very frustrating. Btw, I'm using CS2.

Thanks for you help..

Weard issue, update all drivers and versions of directX, make shure there are no background apps that could interfere with PS.

Never encountered something like it, sounds like the screen refresh suddenly halts or something or a ram lagspike. Are you useing a more or less modern graphics card? When did this error first start occuring? Did it come with the installation of any software or recent computer error?

You know what it was, I had the grid open on my picture and when I turned off the grid it worked fine...

It still odd, you should be able to use the grid and the lasso at the same time. :bashhead:
