Does anyone have the Vista 3D desktop running? Did you have to do something to enable it? I'm trying to get it going on my PC but I can't find a single setting for it anywhere and there's nothing on the MS help site about it that I can find. I also googled and all I can find are link to third party software that give you a desktop in anything but Vista or a comparison of Vista's 3D desktop vs the Linux version lol!

I have 3.1 score, so I have Aero running, just no damn 3D desktop goodness. Wassup wit dat yo? :angrylooking:

I assume you have Vista Ultimate. If not maybe it is only in there.
I don't run vista (have it but won't put it on) so can't help much here. My disk is Ultimate I will see if there is anything in that book that came with it.

Ok I *think* I got it... if you hit windowskey-tab instead of alt-tab to change windows, you get this 3D looking thing to change windows instead of small thumbs. I thought it was a full 3D desktop environment... if that's all it is, what a lot of hype for nothing lol!

Oh.. sounds really boring LOL

Just reading that manual thing now.. man these words are damn small.

Well nothing in that thing about any 3D desktop.

yep Faken, you found it. It's not that amazing, but I like it better than alt+tab.
