No shit sherlock.

I hate people who go on and on about how illegal it is.

There are supposedly around 822,000,015 PCs world wide in homes, im guessing around 40% Of them use P2P file sharing..

Off the top of my head *google* thats 328 800 006 PCs

Try stopping them! =/

If I were at that university I wouldnt lose any sleep, it states clearly in the last paragraph:

"Federal law requires that the University take action when it is notified that someone on its network is distributing copyrighted materials without a license. "

you see? he is just covering his proverbial butt..

They'll remove sites straight away if reported, I'm not reading all of that you posted we all know it's illegal.

so they will remove sites? Then why not just do a google search? lol...If they REALLY wanted to stop them all its not that hard.

Google right now brings up
REMOVED - We don't promote these type of sites here.

Um ya...so if they were really trying it takes them a couple of seconds to find them on google, so whats holding them back?

Awh, this problemo will never go away honestly. Unless you cut network cords out of customers and keep their internet services hostage and teach them a lesson about illegal sharing. Second on hand, this entire illegal file sharing thing has becomed a underground. If the "Fed"s are going to get these people who steal or whatever, they gotta go undercover. For example: why won't they launch a bunch of sites, pretending to be a site that offers free downloads and get the visitors' IP addresses and go knocking at their door.

If those so called illegal downloading suspects run away, why not use the silencer . They anyways always get away, saw it in the movies. Oh crap, I hear someone now coming, wait I hear that reload.. oh now I hear the two dudes coming in..
