I was just messing around working on a name & logo and came up with this:

What do you guys think? Nothing is set in stone, not even the name. Comments are appreciated.

Wow, that is very sweet logo!! I disagree with Dance's opinion; The highlights give it a nice, new perspective

Very nice work!! Is there more to come? :flowers:

Photoshop :angrylooking:

And yes, I will be experimenting some more. I'm looking to start up a little Graphics/Photo site thing for my own pleasure until it actually has a chance to go anywhere when I'm older.

I haven't decided whole heartedly on a name for this "project" of mine, so if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

The lettering is a combination of several fonts with some heavy editing. For example: The 'A' is actually a lowercase 'e' flipped 90 degrees CW, cropped, with a rectangular shape in the middle. The 'H' has been cut and made smaller to blend with the 'S' and so on. This gives me an idea.

Here's the .psd: File Sharing Board - Logo .psd File

I'll have some more versions to post later on, maybe even with different names. Thanks for the comments everyone.

/mike

I recomend you tu make it using a vector editting program like corel, illustrator or inkscape.
so you can resize it for print, web, poster, books, anything

I have illustrator and I'll try that out, I just have almost no experience with the program. Thanks for the advice Matheus. Time to read some tutorials!

I took your advice and tried it out in illustrator. My brother gave me a few basic tips because I'm designing a logo for my father's company so I worked on my own with that basic knowledge. Not as complex as my first but better because I have an .ai file and can enlarge etc.

Yeah, I agree. I just think it may work better for me to work in illustrator. I'm getting better though so hopefully I can make something similar only in illustrator so the quality is good.

Here's a slightly better version:

Thanks guys! I think I might edit one little thing. The "Creative Media" is a bit squashed when I transformed it, so I'll play around with that. Thanks for the feedback!

Hm, if I was you, on the newest logo, I'd swap the light green at the bottom with the dark green at the top.

Oh, and make the shading on the right side of the H fit in with the rest of the shading. You get what I mean? 'Cause the shading on the rest of the letters slants upwards, then on the H it suddenly goes straight across ;D

But apart from that it's excellent work!

The only think I would do is maybe make a 2nd version of the first one where the "creative media" is bigger and on the outside??

The only reason I say this is b/c have you tried shrinking the logo tiny and seeing if you could read those letters? My prof always said when designing logos make sure they can work small just as well as big.
