Hello. I'm fairly new to using flash to make websites. I'm working with a guy who has this site with a bunch of pieces made in flash that have to line up with text and images seamlessly. We thought we finally had it, and then one of us remembered we hadn't tested the site in IE. It's a disaster in IE, there are huge gaps and some pieces are missing. I'm fed up. I know how to make whole flash projects. This cut up hybrid stuff is just plain frustrating to me. I want to just put everything into Flash and be done with it, but he wants there to be text on the page so that the search engines can pick up on it. I'm not sure where to begin researching if there is a solution to this. I know I can load text into the swf from an external file that could be on the website, but will it have teh desired effect of helping his traffic? If anyone knows good literature to read on this topic and solutions to it, I would be grateful for the direction. Or if anyone is so inclined to offer up some of their own solutions, I could use those too. Thanks for taking interest in this post, I appreciate all help.

Code a simple text + link only website and have it all inside one div. Use javascript (sorry, I dont know the exact code to use) and have it replace the div that has your simple site content with your flash object. This method kills two birds with one stone, because it bypasses IE's security junk that makes you click the flash before its interactive, and it is google's suggested method of Flash SEO.
Google claims that it can also read text inside a swf as well, but not to the same extend as it can with a normal website. Tweens can also throw off the google bot. Each keyframe will duplicate that word in the search result. This can cause a saturation of search words.
