1- Relax...typing faster makes it harder for us to help you which in turn slows you down..

2- For all you know, your account is temporarily deactivated as they fix something

3- If it required installation uninstall it then re-install.

Anyone else have ideas.

Well if that happens then the taskbar thing is just a slight nuisance. No worries there. I would suggest Ctrl>>Alt>delete, going into processes and killing the system tray gmail thing (or w.e it is) then starting gmail again.

Thats if it is gmail or w/e e-mail program.

same problem!! my gmail notifier keeps saying: "Tempoary Logged Out" very annoying.. but why does pc keeps restarting? that's probably a virus, yea..

i think my gmail notifier acts strange because my gmail was hacked... the hacker gave it back to me but now my gmail notifier doesn't work anymore :(

I'm having the same problem ever since I started my computer today. It's probably just an issue with gmail servers or something, it'll most likely be fixed soon. It's not that hard just to type gmail.com in your address bar, is it?

EDIT: All I did was double-click it and it's fine now.

Like Blitz said, its probably just a problem with the servers that the Gmail notifier uses... should be fine. As for restarting, I'd check for viruses and spyware and if the problem comes back, look into updating your drivers as well... mine did that from time to time and I updated my hard disk drivers and its fine now.

Try this: Firefox Gmail Notifier or try getting your gmail through thunderbird/outlook and drop either of them into the start up folder.
