GIF doesnt support any alpha masking of pixels, its either 100% transparent or 100% colored. Therefore as this images Antialias buffer pixels is made for white it will be vissible on any other colored background. You could to solve this by remakeing the AA buffer for a dark bg, This could be tedious if you dont have it layered with a background. and only have transparent area around the render. Basicly manual toolwork with the brush. If you have a background layer for the cut out then recolor this bg for the bg color of the website where the sig is to be used.

If I was doing this image, to save some work I would remove the animation and save as a .png file.. but then I am lazy.

I'm always hesitant to use .png files on the web just due to the fact that some browsers like earlier versions of IE don't support .png transparency. Another way around this if you are using Photoshop is that in the "Save for Web" option you can choose a matte color. In this dropdown you can specifiy the color of the background you're going to be using and Photoshop will handle to blending for you.
