Well what options are good to create a .gif from the flash animation? When ever I do it is comes out with really bad colors and not animated(animate radio button chosen).

You're probably better off with the swf. Quality would be way better, and file size might even be better. As far as actually answering your questions, I have no idea. The last time I made an animated gif (which was 6 or 8 years ago) I used some Microsoft Image Editor or something along those lines. It was basically MS's try at photoshop. And a very poor one at that. It came with Frontpage 98 or 2000.

I have my unique way of doing this, without losing quality. I make the animation, export it as Bitmap Sequence (File > Export > Export Movie then select it from the drop down). Make sure you export them into a new folder though. Then open Fireworks (or Photoshop) and make the gif from there. Since they have much better output settings
