As far as im concerned the new program features aren’t overall major, there updates that removes some work but certainly noting you couldn’t have done without the new tools. The biggest update as far as im concerned is the new interface which I personally fell in love with testing the PSCS3 Beta which as I understand it span all of the CS applications, along with the Export and import tools between the old Macromedia and Adobe applications. I don’t yet know how compatible the new programs will be with the old ones but i guess that everything which uses new features will be off limits completely to older versions of CS applications.

You can get the full story on Adobes website.

What do you think about this release? Is it to minor per application to force a expensive upgrade or a new exelect addidtion to the workflow?
Personaly i wont upgrade to this untill i must but im mostly a Photoshop user and dont need the new features in PS to create their results.

I am interested in what DW CS3 has added to it.
Wonder if it has the same dw look or they have added their GoLive gui to it.
Might see if they have a trial yet.

If you go the link and click on the DW CS3 and then go to Features or tour or whatever it is, you can see some live stuff there.

Definitely have to agree on the excitement for the improvements for DW. Ever since I got introduced to some of Adobe's Spry widgets I was hoping they would be incorporated into DW.

Some of the other features I'm really looking forward to is the better integration between Flash and everything else. Being able to directly open Illustrator/Photoshop files in Flash while still maintaining the layer structure and being able to turn certain layer groups into movie clips upon importing them is huge.

Overall I'm very excited about this release. The only downside I see is replacing Audition with SoundBooth, but hey, what can you do?

Wow this is gonna be an awesome suite!! I can't wait!

I think my only beef with SoundBooth comes from the fact that with the audio work I need to do requires the more, in-depth controls that Audition offers. SoundBooth looks like it will work great as a companion to Premiere and After Effects, it just doesn't look as full featured as Audition, which might be why they're separating it from the suite.

I know!! Question: How do you think Macromedia and Adobe would be doing if they were still separate?

Doesn't look like I'll be getting them soon. :( As the master pack will probably be like $700 or more. ;) Figures.

Upgrade for Web Premium is $340. Full Box was $1599.

I think it's actually come down in price because I was looking at the CS2 at the Apple Store and it was $1999, even online at a adobe.com

The Master Collection is actually a pretty good deal. If you add up the cost of buying each program individually it would run around $6,300 (US dollars). I doubt I will actually get this pack (since I have no need for programs like Contribute ;) ) but it's pretty tempting.

I just can't wait for the day Adobe allows customers to create their own bundles. That'd be sweet!

Nice Flash 9 (or CS3)! Will have to get that! Although I spent 5 years learning AS2, it's going to suck having to start from scratch with AS3 ^_^
