Hi

I was wondering what is steps behind the creation of the boxes/tables on this website - www.experts-exchange.com, because they look really nice and I would like to learn how to create some of my own. I have attached a pic of what I mean ^_^

Firstly select the rounded rectangle tool and set the feather to about 8px, then draw your desired header size and the colour you want. Now hover over your header box and hold Ctrl and right click the layer (making sure you get an outline around it) Then go to the rectangle marque tool (making sure 'Intersect with selection is selected') and draw a box half the height of your original box but the same width. Fill this with any colour, once you have done that go to the layer you have just drawn (the half sized one) and select Blending options, select gradient overlay, you will see that a gradient appears, now all you need to do is select the colours you would like (preferably a light grey and a dark grey).

Then select the the rectangle tool (with the colour white selected) and from the header of your box draw your content area, making sure it is lined up correctly. Now go to blending options and select stroke, then pick a dark grey colour and set the stroke to 1px and the option of inside rather than outside.

Finally the text, pick your desired size of text and font, once you have this go to blending options and select drop shadow and adjust accrodingly.

I hope this has helped, if you get stuc at any point let me know.

Or you could search through Pixel2Life's tutorial index, search "content box", this should give you some ideas to create more if you like. :) Hope I helped, have a good day.

just to add on to what you said, to get the glass glossy effect at the top of the box, use the rectangle marquee tool and select the top half of the gradient, layer via cut, then lower the opacity of that layer down to 90-85%, depending on what you see fit
