[Quantum Statue]

I'm a beginner in webdesign (In my opinion) and I was asked to create a new look for my friends site. I decided to go simple, so this is what I came up with

I didn't want it to be crowded with images and I wanted it to be sleek and fast.

I would like some C & C so I could improve my creativity. I don't mind harsh criticism either, because sometimes you have to be.

I think you went way too simple, simple doesnt always mean flat colors and no images. its too empty, your nav width is a bit too big imo.

Make the 2 side's smaller so that the content area is wider. Also, I think it's good, I don't like images on my sites lol.
