i accidentally clicked out of the layer box thing..the one in the bottom right and i havent been able to find out how to get it back

At the top of Photoshop,, goto ( window - then click layers , this will bring the layers window back for you )
The default shortcut key is F7

Or try reseting the palettes by going to Windows > Workspace > Reset Palette Locations.
