If you want to rework it digitally id, Move the focal point (toombstone) far furter to the right in the image and extend to island to the left, to get a better composision. Ad more details to the island and make the leafs of the palmtree more detailed shapewise, possibly add more of them (and skull coconuts :D). Add a dramatic sky, possible underwater detail, traced shadows etc. It could possibly be a good image. :)

Thx Dance, i know what your saying,
when i started the sketch i only had the idea of the tree with skulls, and started to sketch not so in the middle of the paper, but yeah it will be a full island with lots of detail

I may hold this idea back till i can aford a tablet ( i want a good one though )

V2 Sketch

The next step will be too draw this properly, using a ball point pen, then i will be adding color
This will be the first time i have done a proper drawing in a long time, i used to sell tattoo style art to the tattoo shops
years ago, my hand drawn art using a ball point pen, look like prints i get really smooth thick lines

We will see how it turns out
Anyway heres the v2 sketch

Hrrrm, something is wrong with the perspectine on the toombstone, i think the top isnt matching how it sticks into the ground.. Looks like it leans forward when it leans back. ;)

Also i must confess i liked the design of the old toombstone better the beveled top made it look more "sofisticated".

Keep on workin m8y!

I see what you mean Dance m8, but this time the tombstone is behind the palm skull tree, ( comes out of the ground and with the intentional bend in the tomb stone like its ready for bending back over the palm tree ( a little bit )

I like this sketch more then the first one, and the way its going to be done with thick black lines ( tattoo style )
will look great once it is finished, but then again when i do this properly on my drawing card ( water color card i use )
things could change, as thay usually do ;)

But thx for your comment Dance m8

Thx guys for the comments, i have always been interested in learning tattoo, i was looking at some tattoo kits on ebay last week,
most of them come with starter skins ( fake skin ) and a learning dvd, also been reading some books a-z on how to tattoo and also the need to know dangers of tattooing, very interesting :P

Sorry about the crap scan of my ink work, it don't look smooth in the scan at all
