Hey guys..I'm sure a few of you have had this problem but I have searched all the help forums and no success.

I recently installed Apache2Triad as I was told to in another topic in order to get php and mysql on my local host. The install was a success, I could create a database in phpmyadmin, create tables to the database and all, but, i could not get php to work in files?

i created index.php from my index.html and added a php line to see if it would work yet it saves it as a Hypertext pre-processor file and doesn't open in ff.

i am just wondering why the PHP files will not work as I am about to create my custom PHP content management system.

Thanks

Make sure your files are placed in the htdocs / public_html folder
