Well what can I say,
It's a sketch right out of my mind, in fact it was only drawn to get used to my wacom...

i prefered the first one being honest. much more cooler, rougher and arty.

Lol, but i'm trying to draw as realistic possible!
Doesn't matter, these are only sketches for improving my skills!
In summer i'll make a nice design that got stuck for months now in my head!!

I like the first one better also, then you had the motion comming up from the neck lined up with the eyes creating a more dynamic picture. Now the eyes break of that motion. If you want to make as realistic sketches as possible w/o using a referens picture then you need to learn the shape and anatomy of the human head inside out. Reference photos eliminates that need to some extent and helps with the learning if you give it thought.

mate i wouldnt be as good with paint if i didnt practise. Get a load of photos sit down with pen and paper and draw do not worry about mistakes just keep going. the more practice you do the better also....i have to dash pizzas in the oven!!

I like it. The colors have a very smooth quality. I'd watch an animation with this style. Keep practicing!
