Hey guys, just signed up here, love the site :D

Well I had a question regarding a tutorial cms system. I am in the process of setting up a web hosting website, and I came to the point of wanting a tutorial section. I wasn't seeking any complex script or anything, but something similar to P2L or GT. All I'm looking for is how I can easily add/edit/delete tutorials with a thumbnail next to each tutorial. I don't need all the fancy doo-dads of comments, ratings, etc (if it's included, great, if not, i don't need them).

I've searched high and low for such a system, and I found a few, but none of them worked, so I thought of turning here and see if anybody knew how to help. I know a little PHP, but if somebody could at least tell me everything I needed to be able to execute such a script, or point me to a tutorial of making a tutorialcms, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!

Thanks a lot in advance!

This seems to be a common question for some reason. P2L is a custom made system, all completely custom made by the admins (Faken and Chaos King are the main ones the come to mind, though theres many others who greatly contributed I'm sure).

As for a CMS, they are easy to make and find, you can find plenty of tutorials on them, such as this simple query on P2L.

CMS

Or even.

Content Management

All you are doing is making a few queries, loading data from a database, and displaying it how you want, with a small page to allow an admin to execute these queries to edit the database data.

Great, thanks :D I know it's custom, I was just looking for a step in the right direction. I'm not an expert in PHP or anything, I do know a little, but I figured this would be a good place to get a direction. Thanks a lot, Demonslay!
