OK,
its not perfect yet, it needs tweaking, and thats just plain stupid, but i have to go so, heres the fast method:

select the stroke,
click on this icon:

And choose object > path > outline stroke,
do this for the second stroke too

Then select your logo and one of the ex-strokes and choose path tool again: minus front like in the beginning.
Same for second stroke.

This is the end result:

After just moving the points manually with the direct selection tool:

Then i filled the shape, gave it a stroke of 0.5 pt.
Then i made a copy, paste it in the back, changed the stroke color, and change the stroke width to 1.5 pt.
