Ok im hoping anyone here can point me in the right direction

Im looking for a tutorial that i can use for my site so that i can allow a user to upload an image and then it show in the profile, i just need a basic image upload with a thumbnail generator, if anyone knows of a tutorial that be great.

i also need to figure out how to have the image show for the user that uploads it using mysql/php

hope i explained that properly lol
