What do you think so far?
I'm not very far and the layout is no even near being complete. But I just wanted to know what you guys think about the layout and if you like the general style:

Oh, and I'm probably gonna changed the text part. This is just a placeholder.

Honestly.. The colours don't really go, the white solid boxes just look tacky. You shuld include some better gradients into it Im not too sure bout the 3d effects.. Keep it simple and clean.

I'm not sold on the menu. I think it's a good concept but there's something about it sitting on the same background as the page I don't like

There's no padding around the navigation buttons, and I think that's the thing that's pulling it down...

I think the style is good on the logo, but not on the buttons. Keep it up, and keep us updated

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'll keep your suggestions in mind and try a bit around.
I already did a bit of the content section, but I'm not happy with it (yet).

Yeah the reason the logo looks good is its big enough to see the details.

But when put on the smaller buttons the lack of padding between the text and border is throwing it of, like bug said.

Well, I guess I really have to redo the butons.

I edited a bit again. Changed the navi, the right conent section and threw in some basic text. The text isn't final, and I'm probably gonna use another font and so on. I just wanted to show you the colour scheme of the text.

Once you change the font on the nav to something more readable it'll be even nicer


For some reason that bottom right accent just feels out of place, maybe cuz its a different lighting/shadowing then the rest of the layout, don't know.

The bottom accent needs a little more saturation so that it matches to rest of the template. It looks out of place to me because it's all by itself, do you plan to continue it along the bottom of the rest of the layout?

Hmm, well this was just a quick idea. I'm probably gonna remove it.

Well, You need something there at the bottom to fill that negative space. I personally thought that the little bar-thingy you had looked good, it just wasn't saturated enough to match.

Hmm, well I'll think about i. But at the current state of the layout, there is no need for it, since the green boxes are gone. But I'll have to see how this turns out and I'll keep you updated.

thx. And I won't change the Logo, since I really really like it. I guess everyone has his own taste.
