After getting some inspiration help from these forums i finally got around to start making designs again.

So this time i am trying to design a Wordpress theme [With some extra features like PHPBB3 login on the front page etc.]

So i would really like some comments on this picture of the webdesign [I haven't cut it yet]!

What could be better? What is good? What do you like and dislike?

[Don't pay attention to the language - Its Danish if your wondering ]

Just some basic details about the website. It is supposed to be like a Danish version of http://www.tv.com - But with each different TV Show having its own blog site, which all has the same layout but different skin.

Also the box with the Desperate Housewives image is going to be a dynamic flash based box which changes picture and text every 15 seconds or so

Thats amazing, apart from the header - that sucks

I would suggest you use an image based header with a more basic text style. The rest of the site is minimalist but the header is just bit of colour and a bad font, very uninteresting IMO. Have something that looks much more like your housewives box.

I'd agree with part of that, but not all. The font needs to change, thats for sure. But as far as an image for the header...I don't think that is needed. Just try a couple of redesigns for the header and see what kind of stuff you can come up with. The rest of it looks good.

What does that header actually give apart from title, links and search bar, nowt.

So lose it

People make headers because everyone has one but you dont need it, imagine that website without the header, just going straight into the des.housewives and page, it looks sweet. Just have your title in a small logo on the background, the links in the middle and the search on the right. Maybe a bit of decoration.

Try and keep it as minimalist as possible and it'll look good!
