123-reg WORST HOSTING EVER

Firstly, I had bought a domain off them, which i fort was a success it was £6 for 2 years and i was VERY happy with this.. So then I thought hmm, Im not going to invest in hosting.. Which was £3 per month, so i was like wow, im gunna purchase that also, i put in all my credit card details to pay it all and it bills me with a £35 bill! After a little moan to my self i fort okok this is reasonable coz im going to have to pay this much one day or another if i stay for a year aren't i! Then now i find out that my site CANNOT be viewed in Firefox nor Opera! Try for yourself, load it in them browsers and alls you get is a heap of HTML CODE! it's pathetic, I've tryed to email them TWICE about my problems and still await a reply 1 week on! This is by far probably the worst hosting company i have ever used and i really do not reccommend them! I simply want to recieve my money back for the hosting and for them to cancel it and cancel the domain!
Where do i stand in getting my money back?

I'm sorry to hear about that, I feel your pain because I went through a lot of terrible hosts a while back, but then found one that worked for me.
Might I suggest going with a more reputable company? HostGator has some great plans (hatchling and baby). HostedFX isn't that bad either.

My point: Looking for the cheapest web hosting will get you just that. Buying your hosting from some shady, cheap, unreliable seller is like buying a pregnancy test from the dollar store. It's just going to cause headaches in the long run.

Cause when you check out the properties you'll see text/plain
???
If so you would want to get rid of that server:p

EDIT:
I tested using a txt doc with html on IE it looks fine anyway but on FF it gives plain text
So you might actually want to check out your index file for index.txt!
Good Luck

<? //code ?>
html ==>
<html>
<!-- code -->
</html>
If you aren't able to use php, than that is due your hosting server is not offering/supporting php
If you really would want to use php anyway then you'll find yourself a free php server

EDIT:
Btw, the site is quite nice, but too gray use some other colors too!
I like the concept but it's still a work in progress do!

EDIT2:
Checked out that hosting company and it only supports perl-cgi
So nothing else such as php sql asp,... is supported!

Oh and cheap can be good. I have been with the same company now for 4 years and I have had the best service and experience from them. They are hardly ever down (2 outages in 4 years) and their support is excellent.
I only pay for 200gb of space $NZ80 per year.
The only advice I can give here is STAY AWAY FROM RESELLERS! Check that your hoster has their own farm, if not don't touch them with a ten foot barge poll.

Last project I worked on, the client had some really bad hosting...
10bm of space (yes, 10 megs), no php for $100/yr.
$50/yr for domain registration.
It was pretty weak...
