hi all,
i already have a website (www.chrisgrievedesign.co.uk) but want to create a new one,
last time i created it all in photoshop then sliced it in imageready, then took it into dreamweaver to put it online,
but..... this time i want to make it easier to edit, so that i dont have to take each page into photoshop, change text then slice it all again, i just want to be able to change the text in the coding, is this easy to do??
do you know what i mean.??
any help appreciated.
Thanks

You would need to slice it up in PS, then open the html file in DW then click on a image, then where the properties panel is cut the source from there, you will see a grey box appear delete it and then apply the source to the background, there will be a background box appear once you delete the grey box. I would leave all the text out of the images, as you will be adding this in DW.
Thats how I code my sites, but I know nothing about coding, I stick to gfx
. I could have probably explained better but I am pushed for time, sorry.

I even don't use ps, atleast not for the HTML part
Here's my go!
First create a sketch on paper put some ideas down there to.
Then realize it on ps tweak the colors and everything till it's fine
Slice it up in maximum 5 parts, ussually only 3.
Boot up dreamweaver.
Use an old css doc (one I've once created from scratch), and adapt it to my needs.
Then put it all together with html!
That's it;)
Good luck
