I have this Microsoft Webcam (LiveCam VX-1000) I want to start using but the software it came with won't run on Windows Vista. It is supposed to, but it keeps give me errors and I don't want to spend any more time goofying with it.

Is there another software out there that would allow me to record video? I need to be able to edit the video when I am finished.

Have you tried updating the drivers then reinstalling the software? If not for the price of web cams these days you'd be better off buying a Vista compatable one on ebay for around $8-$10 or do as Kozine says.

Are you sure it's Vista compatable?
