Well I have just finished watching the match and have to say I was surprised by the way England played. We did what I thought was an average job and I also think Dyer played well along with Shorey.

The Goal, It had to happen, the script was set and once again Beck's come up trumps, I hope he gets a start against Estonia.

Good luck for that game England :(.

I'm afraid to say i got bored watching another football match, i only lasted until half time. I'm much more of a rugby man myself.

One thing though...Beckham, hair, lack of??

once again gerrard is shackled in the holding midfield role, and once again he was the best player on the pitch.

imagine what would happen if we played him in his proper position?

He would score alot, if we played him correctly. Well Estonia is up next, i reckon we can win.

You can dream of that, we'll win!!!! LOL - yeah in my dreams maybe only we'll beat Englandm but even this dream is ay too much of utopia to dream of it.... You'll guys win - we suck in football, especially after Pipers left the role of main coach...

It was a good game last night, but for me i was dissapointed again,

Seems we still have some problem going forward, England are not a 1-0 team, we cant defend a lead, we know it as supporters, so why do the management still try to accomplish it???

against Brazil, we were unlucky, we could of had more, but it just seems once we get in front we sit back a little,

we always say the same after a match tho, "we were unlucky not to have gotten two or three more"

granted last night we didnt, we actually went forward looking for another, but take a look over the last 3 / 4 games, we do sit back to much IMO,

we have the best league in the world, WHEN OH WHEN WILL ENGLAND START PLAYING LIKE A PREMIERSHIP TEAM???

if only Kevin Keegan had the bottle for the job back then, i loved his style, doesnt matter how many they score as long as we score one more, thats the team i want to see, i want to see us going forward with 2 up front and gerrard playing throuhg the middle, we have goals all over the team, yet not one of them can do it?? were resting our hopes on a not so sharp owen, rooney is banned, smith wasnt all that last night, crouch as always did well, so no doubt we'll get it compelty wrong again, put crouch on, and use smith to hold up the ball, LOL!

last night i couldnt figure it out, owen fast, pacey, and loves to run of the defence, smith was supposed to be the hold up man, to feed owen, but all i seen was becks flicking in crosses, or gerrard feeding through the middle, nothing came from smith, yet IMO hes not a bad player, hes not a hold up guy tho, so why isnt crouch on instead? he can play football, he isnt just a lanky red lol.

did anyone see lampard? i thought he went off for coffee, he had hardly anything in the game,

what about shorey, i thought he did great against them, worth a try on wed IMO, also i liked the look of dyer looks like he could be a solution short term,

i really wanted to see lennon shame he missed out cause of the injury.

Yeah Shorey did do well but A.Cole is in a different class, I have a feeling that Brazil could have mopped the floor with us on Friday, There was glimpses of a team that should have won the WC but also some poor defending. I think Beckham needs to stay at least for another 4 games and build on his success of Firday.

Overall I think we can qualify from our group, Estonia should be a walk in the park, but we saw what happened at Northern Ireland :).

Joe Cole needs to be taken from the team the only good thing he's done for us was that fluke volley against Sweden, played rubbish so far this campaign.

indeed J cole is a quality player, needs to not step over as much, but you cant take him outta the team IMO.

Nah, Cole is world class, he just needs time, Just like Gerrard and Lamps.

EDIT : LOL, I bet the Brazillians loked at him and thought "Who's he trying to do a step over on us?"

lol indeed, thats there trick,

seems crouch may get teh nod to start on wed night :)

if becks puts in another performance, i can see him getting his 100 caps no problem, if he doesnt play macca will finally get sacked and becks will be the scape goat.
