Well hello, I've created a very simple but I think quite nice XHTML & CSS valid template, best function would most likley be a blog. There isn't a header, however there is one included in the coding if one was ever wanted to be added. Please rate and give feedback, would be nice to if people with other browsers could tell me if it functions correctly.

Works ok in ff and safari. Nothing flash.. just green and white. But at least it loads fast LOL.
On and you missed the title name. Says untitled.
Oh and place the styles in a css file.

Nice, but maybe too simple. I guess It would look better with a header.
In the content, I'd try to make the titles of the news stand out.
Also, the vertical navigation is too near your sidebar navigation, and they are exactly the same. Maybe you could move the first one to the right
Edited: Sorry, I forgot. Works fine in Firefox 2.0

I agree with what those two have said. It's too plain but at least it loads fast - maybe a gradient header instead of just plain green? Make it most "exciting" if that's the right word for it - make it something that stands out a bit more but without comprimising the loading time.

Hey, Vandalised!
I'm going to sound like a broken record if I repeat what has been said, but I do agree with everyone's opinions. Having something like a gradient header or something that gives it a bit of artistical flare would make it look a bit more interesting.
Looking in the source code, what was the intention of having a non-breaking space in a paragraph tag? If it was just to separate the distance between the text, then you could use line breaks (<br /> since your site is XHTML markup), or use the line-height CSS property to gain that effect if you really wanted to space everything out.
Only real suggestion I would have is try to make the site fluid. It just looks... I dunno... set in stone. Would be nice to see it move around a bit.
Apart from that, I think it looks easy on the eye and quite clean. I like it.
