Ok hey guys,

Im trying to install a script for someone and am having trouble

So I've uploaded all files to the Public_html folder and have gone to the website address and get the 404 error. So I tried all the other available folders and still get the 404 error. So I re-upload the files to the public_html folder and I still get the 404 error.

I tried making a basic Hello World HTML file named index.html and I still got the 404 error.

The website is www.mydirectpay.com

Any help is appreciated!

How come you've got public_html and a www folder? Did you try the www/ one?

www is simply a more intuitively named alias of public_html, they actually do the same thing. Anything placed in www will be visible in public_html and vice versa. It does matter which folder the files are initially placed in,however uploading directly to www will sometimes copy the file into public_html using double the disk space (i have only seen this a couple of times and they were not the most stable of servers, it usually does not happen).

Grr this is getting annoying now. I've never had this sort of problem before!
