I have created this website for the company I work for. Please take a look and give some feedback.
I created it using Photoshop CS and Image Ready.

Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

May I recommend creating a header so it looks more interesting as well as narrowing the site, in Firefox I have to scroll horizontally to view some of the site.

Btw, are you relatively new to creating and designing web sites?

This is the first time creating a website using photoshop & image ready. The host of the website had software but it was very limited, so this was our choice without purchasing new software or hiring out. The previous website was very outdated and disorganized. The first role was to get a new site up with up to date information and more organized look.

They didnt want a header to the website so the left sidebar acts as the "header" of sorts. That too I think needs work.

I think so far it does what the firm's principals wanted. More development will come and I am sure there are mistakes here and there to fix.

I would also like to find a way to display the images better and create more dynamic pages.

well... as for the header.. just put like a text on it or something.. might help?

or in the side ?

but the colors doesnt do much with the pictures.. like the background is dark while pictures that is showings are light

contradiction maybe?

Ok a couple of things I have noted down. First of all and most critically is the layout, 90% of what I see I like. I honestly do like the look of the website, however it isnt very accesible. Im running at 1280x1024 and the website shows clearly enough for me, however not everyone is running at that resolution so will have to scroll left and right to view the whole page.

You need to do what someone else has mentioned and include a header, I understand that they do not want a header, and the website I think looks good without a header, however by moving the left column into a header will make the site more accessible. Take a look at the attached image to see what the site would look like with a header. (Im not saying to do exactly what is in the header in my image.

Attached File  McPhersonwebsite.jpg   168.18K   71 downloads

Secondly I would refrain from using images for text, it doesnt look nice and could cause some problems when coming to update the site. Not only that but it might take some users on a lower connection to load the whole page up correctly.

Great info and feedback so far, I really appreciate it.

I am working with limited time, software and latitude. I have created the entire website in Photoshop and Image Ready. I had a deadline to post the site to coincide with new marketing the firm is doing. So what is up will be upgraded as I get more time.

As for the whole site being images, that is how Photoshop/Image Ready are saving the file out. Yes, I don't know ALL the programming yet, but I am learning on the fly here. Which is why I am asking for feedback.

I really appreciate it and please keep it coming, don't worry about being brutal or critical, if its true that is all that matters.
