it looks to me like u have arranged ur template in tables maybe? And that u have the left and right cells aligned to the bottom and the middle one to the top?

as for your background problem, it's repeating like that because the image isn't big enough for all resolutions.

You might get some more helpful responses if you show us the coding, this way the members of Pixel2Life will be able to give you a heads up on what's causing it and any other problems you may have in the coding.
