Well i was just reading about China controlling what their people look at on the internet and i think that it's not fair they're trying to control freedom of speach. Apparently bloggers saying anything bad about politicians will see them locked up in jail. So, what do you all think of this?

Yeah man china inf is way overpowered...

I think it's a terrible thing, and there must be some rules against what they are doing however I personally wouldn't want to have conflict with china. I guess that's how other politicians see it aswell.

China is a communist country they have no freedom of speech, no animal protection legislation and the list goes on and on. Personally I don't care what they can and cannot view on the web I'd rather see animal protection put in place first.

Here here.
And I wish they would stop coming to my countries waters and killing our whales. We actually like the whales here and have no need to slaughter them needlessly to feed our faces.. Oh I mean for scientific research (yeah right).

You're kidding me?! Yeah, it's probably nothing new, but I didn't know this! Magey and I were trying to find a Korean Phone Number yesterday and we couldn't even find an online directory... I don't think that has any relavence though, lol

True, so very true. Same here, but can you see that happening any time soon?

So what if China is a communist country? My friend that lived there for a year said it wasn't any different than england, Obviously you have some restrictions but it isn't that much that it's going to ruin your lifestyle lol. And yea they do have more websites and users then any other country I went to a speech thing at the university a few weeks ago and theres a lot more websites in china then any other language.

I think its ridiculous because they should have a right to say what's on their mind and how they feel.

I totally agree with you. Even though there's more websites in chinese than english, there's no point having them if the chinese people cant even visit the websites ;)

Makes me glad I live in the states.
Sure we've got our own problems here and people could argue over weather we are free or not but at least I can post bad stuff about the gubment all day and not have to worry about being arrested.
One of these days I'm going to move to either Amsterdam or Brazile though. I hope they are cool with the net.
