By easier, I mean less stress and pressure. I'm not asking which is more of a necessity -- just curious which you have found to be easier and less stressful (for those who have done both). They both have their own headaches, but each of their headaches are quite different.

I have my own opinion (which I can share after people have voted). I don't want to influence the poll.

For me working is best, you know exactly what you have to do and when you have to do it by without having to STUDY all day lol reading books and sitting in a class room is not for me.

if you work with good interesting people even better,

i love working with the americans here in germany, im british FYI.

Studying at an university is easier, though if you want to develop your skills better and quicker, better start working in the industry  ATM, I do both btw

Can I just say attending a university instead of being in the work force is easier?

School is way easier. Depending on what industry you're in, you'll have studying on top of your day to day responsibilities.

Then theres the stress of work...you stand to lose a lot more than just 10% of your mark or whatever if you're a day late on a deliverable....

Interesting poll results. I am in the view of the majority. School is definitely easier. You don't have to worry about office politics, working with co-workers, dealing with clients, or listening to your boss.

Plus I like sitting in school and learn new things. There is no pressure other than the one you place on yourself.

Well I say that working is easier - but well, I just enjoy my work. Helping people and punshing those who deserve it :) Anyway I can't stand sitting in a classroom... This is totaly not my lifestyle, I need to move, to do something always.

Well I work in Retail (TK Maxx, oh yeah baby, TJ Maxx to the Yanks ;) ) It's so much easier than College imo.

8 Hours of being friendly to people, handling money (I love money :) ) putting stock out, all at your own pace unless told otherwise, its great :)

Yeah, I work at Dick Smith Electronics (It used to be Tandy... but their both owned by the same people lol). I absolutely love working with the customers and the thought of me being able to help them solve their problems is just incredible!

I find it hard to keep up with study though

In terms of less stress and pressure - I'd go with work! The people there are so friendly and they help you to get better and better. Whereas study.... ugh (even though I don't go to Uni yet)

Work brings more stress, especially if you have your own place. You have to work to pay your utilities, so you have to put up with all the hoopla that comes with working with a-holes. With school, its all on you...not much pressure, until final exam time or course :ninja:

i find work easier... i have issues with authority, so getting bossed around by teachers all day really pissed me off. plus i always found it hard to learn in the classroom, sitting in a chair all day being brainwashed by teachers really isnt my thing.

I will prefer studying in an university with more happiness.

Working outside like a battlefield, only a certain amount of money as salary,

but you need to overcome many difficulties to finish your works, especially the web design field for me,

as most of the customers are demanding a high qualty one with nice idea.

I'd be willing to bet that most (I said most, not all, so don't flame!) of the ppl saying school was easier probably have never worked a 9-5 office job for a couple years. I'll also assume they don't own their own house, have a family to provide for or a couple thousand dollars worth of bills to pay each month. Put all that stuff together with work (those reasons are usually WHY you work) and it's safe to say school was easier. Plus you get a hefty amount of time off from school. I get 3 weeks every year plus stat holidays and 5 sick/personal days. Only downside to taking time off is you have to work 3 times as hard before you take time off, and then 3 times as hard when you get back to make up for the missed time.

On that note, I do love my job, and I hated school with the exception of the sports I played. But the pressures of life increase exponentially between school and "real life".
